Dr. Gaurav Gupta
Thanks for showing interest in browsing through my decidedly informal CV! I belong to Delhi. My dad is also a Child Specialist and has retired recently as Major General from Army Medical Corp. 

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
I did my MBBS from BJ (Government) Medical College, Pune (Maharashtra) in 1994 and subsequently completed DCH from the same place. Thereafter I cleared DNB Pediatrics (National level MD) examination in May 1998. 

WORK EXPERIENCE
Since my DNB I have worked as a SENIOR RESIDENT (post MD experience) in Government Medical College, Sector 32 and then in PGI, Chandigarh (a total of over 4 years!). I have written quite a few research papers including three INTERNATIONAL Publications. 

AT PRESENT
I have started my own practice in Mohali from Jan 2003. I am also working as an Empanelled Consultant at FORTIS Multispeciality hospital & Apollo Clinics, Chandigarh.

MY OTHER LIFE
My wife is an Eye specialist, previously working at PGI. She takes special interest in Pediatric Eye Care, and is the only Eye Specialist in Private Practice in the tri-city to do ROP screening for premature newborn babies! I write a bi-monthly column in Indian Pediatrics (the OFFICIAL Journal of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics). I have also written a few articles on parent education, published in the newspapers like Indian Express, Hindustan Times and Dainik Bhaskar. In my spare time I like to play tennis and get out of the city for brief vacations to recharge myself; so that I am able to provide the best possible care for your children! 

Besides the Doctors Charak clinic has a team of fully qualified paramedical staff who are mostly concerned with the patients care, smooth running of the clinic and assisting the doctors in surgeries, vaccinations and other procedures. We have separate staff for the Eye operation theatre,who keep the operation theatre clean, fumigated and maintain the operating equipment and instruments. In addition we have paramedics trained specially in dealing with the Pediatric patients and carry out procedures like nebulisation and assist in vaccination, patient examination.
